Towing and Recovery
| Towing and Recovery: The Towing and Recovery division of Northland is a very important and busy part of our operation. Our fleet of tow vehicles currently includes a fully equipped 940 Vulcan Recovery Unit and a single axle Western Star with a 750 Holmes wrecker and Hydraulic dragline and outriggers. The single axle, being a handy but short 200" wheelbase is generally the first responder for minor truck recovery work due to the limited room on our narrow and hilly road network. For the really heavy jobs the 940 Vulcan with a Rated capacity of 45 Tons takes over. |

| Incident Management: | Incident Management Trailer( below) |
Our mobile service truck and an incident management support trailer equipped with air cushions, generators, portable flood lighting, washroom facilities and a large variety of other equipment necessary to ensure a safe, rapid and professional approach to the needs of an emergency is always ready to go in an instant. Our staff is fully trained to meet the needs of any emergency and available on a 24-hour per day basis. Digital cameras and inter-net service can deliver photos of an incident almost immediately for our distant customers. A fenced and secure impound helps to protect any vehicles and personal belongings of major accident vehicles. While we could post hundreds of photos of some spectacular recovery jobs, our policy is to not display any photos to avoid customer embarrassment. |
